Special Guest Star Reader #1

As usual, Amanda kicked off the SGSR series. She came today and read A Bargain for Francis. This was one of my favorite books growing up, but Amanda had never even heard of it. Thanks for being a trooper and reading it anyways!! (I have a picture that I took with my camera phone, but for some reason when I try to post it, the picture is literally the size of a thumbnail and all around it is fuzzy screen...If anyone knows how to correct this let me know!) After Amanda read, we closed the day with a soul stirring rendition of Tony Chestnut. Don't know what that means? Come read to my class and you'll find out!!

It was a great time!
My fave part of that book was the songs Frances made up! At one point I caught myself before I sung to the tune of "Heavy Bags"! hee!
I also went back to work and attempted to lead Unit 18 in a rousing mime of Tony Chestnutt, however they just looked at me like when I did interpretive dance to Bohemian Rhapsody on the radio!

How do you mime Tony Chestnut?? Half the fun is in the lyrics!

lb, you mime it when you can't remember all the lyrics in order!

And the truly awesome part is that the motions go with the words. It's kind of like "Head, shoulders, Knees and Toes"...If you know the words, you know the motions and vice versa...Do I need to have you over to pratice one night, Vick? ;-)
